More Info:

Live in Japan: Spring Tour 1973 [Blu-spec CD2+DVD] [Limited Complete Production Edition] by Donovan is a two disc release from the Donovan Paper Jacket Collection (1) celebrating the legendary singer songwriter who enjoyed unique popularity from the late 1960s to the early 1970s, commemorating his 60th debut anniversary in 2025 and his 80th birthday in 2026 with the reissue of classic albums in paper sleeve format for the first time, faithfully recreating the original Japanese LP as much as possible with Donovan's own illustrated inner sleeve, original Japanese LP obi, a 2026 latest remaster, high quality Blu spec CD2, new liner notes, and lyrics with Japanese translations; this album compiles concerts from Donovan's second Japan tour recorded on March 25, 1973 at Osaka Festival Hall and March 26, 1973 at Osaka Koseinenkin Kaikan and was released only in Japan as a live album, featuring songs from the then newly released Cosmic Wheels, hit singles, songs later included on the conceptual Donovan Essence, and special selections such as the exclusive live performance of Working Man, and like the 50th anniversary edition sold exclusively on Donovan's official website in 2023, this edition includes a DVD of the tour documentary film Yellow Star directed by Anthony Fouts that was filmed during the Japan visit, reissued in a paper jacket format based on the original Japanese LP, originally released in 1974, marking it's first CD release in Japan, first paper jacket release based on the Japanese LP A style reproduction, and including reproduced liner notes from the original Japanese LP by Masakazu Kitanaka, Age Ogura, and Goro Nakagawa.
