2 CD set. The history of Rap music cannot be written without spending a large part of it talking about the Jungle Brothers (Afrika Baby Bam and Mike G). The JF's were pivotal in bringing a sense of consciousness into what was until the release of their first album pretty much an egocentric musical form. Always looking for new directions, beats and musicians to work with the Jungle Brothers were inspired on a trip to the UK by the emerging 'big beat' scene which featured artists such as the Chemical Brothers and Propeller heads. Main Propeller head, Alex Gifford, produced their 1999 album V.I.P. and represented a new bold and ambitious direction for the band. The Jungle Brothers have never been afraid to take risks.
