Osibisa were one of the first African-led bands to break into the British mainstream. Formed in London by Ghanaian saxophonist Teddy Osei, the group helped kick-start Afro-rock in Europe during the 1970s, blending African highlife with rock, jazz, funk, soul and psychedelia. 'Welcome Home' (1975) was the band's first album for Bronze Records, marking a new chapter with manager-producer Gerry Bron. It features the chart hit "Sunshine Day", one of the band's best-loved tracks.
